Hmmmm. I am looking at the owners manual for MY07 and it seems the Luxury Active Head Restraints were only available on the S600. My 07's looks like a luxury active head restraint but does not adjust the sides. I guess the non active head restraints were only available on the early 07 550s and my car is a later model 07.

Yeah mine are like yours. But some 07s have the rounded headrests like the one in this photo.

Nope. I have the adjusting luxury headrests on my '07 S600 with 1-06 build date.

Found this one out today...

If you move the turn signal stalk up or down (left or right signal) part way (before the physical click) the turn signal will activate for about two seconds and turn off. Great for changing lanes since you don't have to un-flick afterward

Question re Distronic Plus behavior: The manual is not clear. The best I can tell, if the traffic comes to a stop for a brief moment (3 seconds or less according to a M-B video), the car will resume on its own. Otherwise, one must tap the throttle or pull the cruise stalk. Is this true?

If yes, does the W222 have an upgraded system in which there is no time limit on the auto resume? In other words, in stop-and-go traffic, I would like the car just to creep along without intervention on my part, even if the traffic ahead stopped for ten seconds.

Thanks.

Found this out on the weekend:

If you open the windows and sunroof via remote the cool seat function automatically turns on and cools the seat before you get in.

damn it, I just went through this thread again and this was already covered in post #9. Guess we should add "and this post" to the title.

Yeah but it bears repeating because it's so nice in the summer. In the W220 it worked the same way, but then when the car was vented you could press/hold the recirc button on the HVAC control and everything would close back up in synchronization. Not sure how to do that in a 221.

I don't know if this applies to all cars but as soon a passenger enters the rear, the headrests go up.

I found it very inconvenient that you need to point and click the key near the handle to open the windows. My E38 740i had the same feature and could be operated from a distance.

Yeah I dislike it as well. Looks like it works with infrared instead of RF.

I think mine goes up as soon as someone buckles up in the rear.

Curb/parking stops -- those [usually] concrete, 6" high strips found in some parking spaces
-and- the 10-13 Sport Packages front bumper:

In Comfort Mode, when you pull into the space, the bumper clears the stop. Once the car is turned off and the suspension goes into the lowered rest state, the bumper will be nearly touching the stop. If you're in a hurry and immediately pull the car back after start, the bumper will likely scrape.

It takes a few seconds for the car to lift itself into driving height after engine start. I usually back-in, but if I had to pull in, I now make a habit to wait a few seconds for the car to lift before pulling back.

The Sport Package bumper looks great, but as Jason has previously pointed out, it hangs low...

I am a mere shell of my former self. Apparently dick-numbness is like Kryptonite to me. Please carry on in my stead until my powers are fully restored.

Noticed some cars have "seat firm". Is it only early models?

Okay I'm feeling better. Let me take a shot at this. Apologies to Trix.

Um, like is it because it feels like a ***** is up your butt? Because the thing that goes up would be like a boner that you would get because someone is buckling up in your rear, which would be the same as saying your butt?

Dang it!!! Still nothing!!!

No. My wife is an early model and she definitely doesn't have that.

Correct sir. Hope to have some more time soon to finish this front camera install. Holidays, work, holidays, more work, comfy drives with ac seats on... ah...
