Winshield wash reservoir bottle

Just curious, is the water in the reservoir suppose to be HOT after a long drive?
I stuck my finger in to feel the water and it was hot...wondering if it is normal?
Is it hot from the heating element in the reservoir or just heat from the engine?

The reservoir is heated by the engine coolant.. If you look at the top you'll see a hose going into it and out. So the washer system is always heated..

I do see the pipes inside inside the bottle but

Thought it was just the heating element. Did not know the radiator coolant passes through those lines. Thanks for the info.
