Hi Gang!
I just bought my first MB last week. I got a 2012 S550. Beautiful car.
I have been reading this forum a fair bit the past couple of days. You all seem like nice folks! I look forward to chatting with you.
My first question here is where does one start looking for mods? Nothing too dramatic (at least to start), but I see some here doing some pretty cool stuff to their cars yet I have yet to find a good web site that has anything but stock replacement parts etc.
Thanks for having me on this forum.
Happy driving!

Get some Taiwan painted rear spoilers from Ebay if you like.
Wheels??
Then exhaust: just a thread going now..
Then the full body kit ? Like Lorinser or widebody ..
Big brakes ?
Personally I would do a custom upholstery job if I was to keep the W221 the for the rest of my life, but I will move on at some point...

There is a few things that can be done in regards to modification.
Lips, spoilers body kits and so on
Wheels, but need to watch out for correct offsets
Cut out cats or mufflers for some extra sound
Ecu tune, good bang for the buck probably best in regards to performance
Air box drop in filters K&N
...the list goes on. All depends what you want to do with the car.
Anyway congrats with the purchase and enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Sad to say...I got rear ended yesterday. Had not had the car a week and I get hit.
*sigh*
Damage is not really bad, probably $5000 or so. Just sucks that it got hit.

As far as mods go, you may be able to add some additional options to the car if your car wasn't originally ordered with them. Perhaps some AMG wheels?
I am probably the wrong person to ask as I prefer a stock appearance. Not sure what an ECU tune will do for the S550, but it really wakes up the S600.

Congrats on the new unit, sorry about the hit. Hope it gets fixed quick and properly.
