Considering going to a 2012 S350 Blutec or an S550

Narrowed the cars down to 2. The diesel (Original #3 $59k 24k miles) and another S550 ($56k 21k miles). I am thinking I want the diesel dealer to sweeten the deal - should I ask for an extra year on the CPO warranty? A ful sized spare, Free next maintenance? what do you all suggest?
Thanks and regards

The full size spare would be a problem due to the area to fill DEF, (adBlue) tank is there and necessitates the small spare. I own a S-350, 2012, now with 14,000 miles and finished a 1200 mile trip that had a remarkable 35MPG on the road. Love the car. Arguably the best Merc I have ever owned and I traded a 2009 CL-550 4-matic with designo interior on this one.

That sounds fantastic. I just need some prodding to get me to drive over there and pick that car up LOL!. My money mind is saying wait, but my other mind says go and get that car. It has chestnut brown/black interior which is rare out here as I see more Ash/Black Black/Black and Cashmere/Black interiors than this combo. Car also has splitview too. I have a 2 hour window left for today, then they claim my deal is of the table?

Did you get the one that was in Bethesda, MD? If so, you got a great car. Has the Driver's Assistance Package, along with an interior color you don't see everyday. Noticed from the CarFax report that it came off lease and was originally sold in Beverly Hills.

The original owner got it with just 19 miles on it in 2012.
not quite as nimble as my former E350, but it can be manipulated quickly if you plan it out in your mind first.
I also was looking at a last minute entry to the contest, a E350 Cuprite brown with the same interior, but the trade-in estimate for my car was too low (site unseen).

I've "burnt" hundreds of litres of AdBlue, perhaps a thousand without issues. Not with a Mercedes though. I'd expect it to reduce EGR issues, some engines don't even need EGR when they have the SCR system (I know these cars have).

Only time I had an issue with AdBlue was when I had my ML350BT in for service and the technician forgot to add it. I got a message saying that I had 10 starts left before the car wouldn't start. I understand AdBlue only gets used when the engine is first started. It isn't used driving down the road. Fortunately I was about a half mile from the closest MB dealer. They added it at no charge even though it was not at the dealership where I had the service done. If the technicians do their job correctly, it's shouldn't ever be an issue.

Congrats on your purchase! I'm sure you'll love your car for the years to come.
Also, occasionally when you shut off your car, there will be a ticking sound as well as a burning smell. This is normal as it is part of the Bluetec system; the car burns the accumulated soot into ash.

Good thing, we also have E250 diesel owners and I have not seen any AdBlue dissatisfaction from W212 Bluetec Owners

Since I like X204 GLKs , I occasionally visit this model forum as well. Surprisingly I came across this topic a few months ago :

S350 bluetec
Hi Nuru,
The Adblue shouldn't be a problem - when the first warning comes up, you can still do about 1200 miles before getting the "number of start-ups" warning.
I did 17000 miles before the first warning (in an S350).
You can just add a can, or fill up completely - there's nothing to reset.
You can get 10 liter cans from MB (ref = MB A00498904212) for 19€ over here = about US$25, but I strongly advise getting the filler-tube, which makes the top-up a lot simpler and avoids any possibility of spillage (filler réf = MB A0005832204, about $10).

Anyone have part numbers for these parts?

BTW, can you please post a pic with the label zoomed in a bit? I want to show that to a local dealer. They may be able to look up that part number with the additional information on the label. - Thanks

Here is an option, when you have some time, can you open your pic in MS Office Picture Manager and increase the size? I think you can also do that in MS PAINT too.
