I purchased the following OEM bumper. Its from a 2011 S550 with the AMG Body Kit according to the sticker in the bumper.









I bought the following LED DRLs from eBay (Depo Brand, OEM Replacements):

I gave them to my mechanic to install however he said they dont fit with the bumper. I was wondering if anyone knew which LED DRLs would fit and if there was a specific part number that goes with the correct DRL. Thanks

The ebay listing says there for W251 R Class , W218 ClS . Not for W221 that could be your problem.

I told the seller, they kept telling me that it will fit a W221. I am returning them and purchased OEM ones from VIPGermanParts (for the AMG Bodykit). Hopefully they will fit correctly.

Am not a 100% sure but I was of the opinion that the LED DRLs for the sport AMG bumper which you have and the non-sport bumper were the same and it was just their brackets that differed.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong. Can you post a pic of the LED DRL brackets you have? They have to be those for the AMG sport bumper.

Except if i am wrong, the LED DRLs are same but the brackets differ. But then again, the LED extends past the bracket in the non-amg model but fits totally on the brace for the amg one. so they might in fact be different.

Here's the part numbers I have from when I sought to do this retrofit for 2010+ S550 sport package :

2218201756 - left DRL

2218201856 - right DRL

2218850774 - left chrome cover

2218850874 - right chrome cover

2218851553 - left grille

2218851653 - right grille

I usually buy these kinds of things from parts.com.

The strange thing is that 756 and 856 are the part numbers I got from eBay (they were made by DEPO, so not OEM - not sure if that is the problem). I didnt realize also I had to get the left and right chrome covers. I will order those today. Do you have the part number for the center grille insert as well? Thanks

Center grille is A2218850453.

According to the listing:

"LEFT SIDE: A2218200956 / A2218201756"
"RIGHT SIDE: A2218201056 / A2218201856"

But then it also says:

"Fit For: 10-13 Mercedes Benz W221 S-Class - Non AMG Models Only"

I don't know if they mean non-AMG sport package or non-S63 & S65, but the listing looks like it really applies for 0956/1056 only and not 1756/1856, which is the only part number that is listed for S550....but maybe 0956/1056 can substitute somehow for non-AMG, I have not verified. In any case, the ones you have now don't seem like they will work.

ok just to give everyone an update, the LED DRLs that fit a AMG Body style bumper are slightly different (smaller) than the non amg regular body kit. I ordered the AMG, w/o S65 LED DRLs and they worked.

Final question, will I have to get a new 2011 grille also? Hopefully the one that's on the car will work, but please let me know if it won't. yes , you will need a new grill. and yes, that grill will work. Sent you a link via pm. You can get the same grill for half that price on ebay. same quality, half the price.

You can check on EPC if it'll fit with your car. You may need the trim pieces and grill pieces possibly as well. If you don't have EPC (it's free online), I can also check for you if you send me your VIN number via PM. Thank you
