Previous w220 and 140 owners... Remember how the rear view mirror was motorized? This was a cool feature and it was also tied to the seat memory. When you would hit a seat memory, the rear view mirror would also change by itself, motorized... They took this away in the 221, and 221 as well.

Are you wondering if this can be fitted? Or just reminiscing?

This was and would still be a great feature. The mirror in mine is really stiff and I'm tired of fighting with it to get back right where I like it after I valet the car, have it detailed, or take to the dealer.

Reminiscing... The cool part of it was that it worked with the seat memory. I'm sure one could be retrofitted, but there'd be know way to have it work with the seat memory like the factory originally did it.

Pretty sure this was only available in the 140 pre-facelift. I had a 98 and it was not motorized, nor was the one in my 05 S500. I read they were too easily broken and expensive to repair, so it was dropped.

Feature was deleted starting with MY04 S500 W220. It was a cool feature to have.

Never seen one after 140 facelift as I stated. Would like to see one if you find it. US model anyway...

W220 models had them. My father used to have a 2001 S500. It had the motorized rearview mirror. I asked about it when I bought my S550 and was told it had not been an option for a couple of years. It was a cool option to have but definitely more of a novelty. It takes me a full 15 seconds to readjust it.
