Airmatic will not equalize 2012 S550

Issue started today. Left side wheels are at max height. Right side is at max drop. Looks like a busted low rider. Left side will not lower at all.

Would a battery disconnect cause a reset to get things leveled? Will call Dealer in the AM.

All comments welcome.

Is that for the rear only or the front too? Any warnings at the cluster?

Could be a level sensor issue, broken Airmatic strut, ...

Thanks for the reply. LF and LR are at max height/inflation. Rt side both F and R is fully deflated. Check the OP photo to see the lean.

Warning on the cluster appeared yesterday when suspension would not equalize.

Headed to Dealer for sure. Was hoping overnight the system would bleed off but it did not. Debating on whether to tow or drive to Dealer.

I vote for tow, unless the dealer is very close to your location. Even then you would definitely want to drive very, very carefully.

I assume you are still under warranty Unless you have driven a lot of miles. Call your nearest dealer and let them make the arrangements to get your vehicle to them. It should be at Mercedes expense. The last thing you want to do is drive the vehicle to a dealer and have them claim you caused additional damage by driving it that is not covered under warranty. If the dealer tells you to drive it to them, insist on a written waiver from the dealer making them or Mercedes responsible for any further damage as a result of driving it to them prior to moving your vehicle.

E55AMG
Hi guys, I am owner of an E55AMG'05. My car has an airmatic problem. The diagnosis gives these fault codes (5132-left side airmatic sensor/5142-right side airmatic sensor/5152-rear airmatic sensor)
Airmatic kompressor works fine up and down.
The problem is that car's left side is 12mm down then right side or opposite! (right side is 12mm upper then left side)
While we connect the car to diagnosis,we made felt and right at same balance but whenever disconnect from diagnosis and try to up or down the airmatic, the problem occurs again.
I think a wire contact to chasis, also deaits of the fault code says the same.
If somebody had the same problem, then help me where to start?
Thanks. I am sorry about my english, hope you understand well.

Donny...Glad they figured it out without an extended stay. So two went bad on the same side? Wow that sounds so unlikely. Sounds like you have a good dealer in Texas.

I don't have the full report but I think there will be more to the solution than just struts. Will keep you posted.

Under warranty replaced one failed strut. All corners now equalized as was new.
Replacement strut is a reman. Will cross my fingers.
Cooperative Dealer. Zero issues plus an oil change.
All good to go.

Donny...Wow one strut made it look like that. Sounds like it failed very early. Good to hear warranty covered it.

Donny, good for you, glad it was only one and now we have another symptom to store in the data chest.
