just got won this auction on ebay. I believe it comes with the entire iPod interface kit . Total shipped to Canada is $70. Still can't believe i won the auction. i was ready to go as high as $270 shipped given how crazy its been to source one. i hope it works cos am tired of not being able to play songs from my iPhone. Can't wait to order the tune2air.

Congrats on your ebay pick up.. Even if it dose not work you have the harness that is impossible to find... I'm sure there are guys on this forum that will offer you more that what you paid for the harness by it self.. If you run into any problem just pm me.. I'm still enjoying mine with the tune2air

I know lots of guys are on the hunt for that harness. i was one of those guys.
I think there are instructions on how to install. what I need to know ahead of time i guess is how to take apart the Comand head unit so i can install the kit.

Package has arrived in Canada. Hopefully I get it tomorrow. if not am sure by Monday or Tuesday I should get it. I am itching to order a Visseo tune2air but honestly want to wait to see if this kit works...i hope it does.
I will give an update once i install and test it out. I just need to find a shop that can activate the Aux feature in my Comand Menu.

Oh Yea...Finally installed this about 4 days ago. Installation was a breeze.
I had already turned on the AUX with my mechanics Autologic computer so once i plugged the iPod kit in, it worked flawlessly.

I also bought a Visseo Tune2air and I have to say, I am loving it. I love the way it seamlessly connects once you turn your bluetooth on, Picks up from exactly where it left off and is crystal clear.
I think the iPod kit is a must have for anyone looking to rid themselves of cds. The Visseo also definitely enhances the experience.
I receive calls and listen to music from my iphone6. Both work perfectly fine.

I'm trying to do the same thing with my 2007 CL550, I took the iPod kit to the dealer to have it installed and they had zero clue how to turn on AUX, a Mercedes Benz dealer..Amazing. I called a different dealership and I was told I can't be done. I'm so frustrated at this point. I need my tunes.

NYC is a very populous city. Am sure there are mechanics besides the dealers out there that have computers and softwares to turn that feature on. My mechanic here has a device called "Autologic"...Thats what i used to turn my Aux feature on. I actually did it myself in 1min.

Hey guys any updates on this working with the newer iphone 6 interface/plug? I have an adapter from apple that converts which I use for charging, however was wondering if you guys have any comments or advice?

It works with the iPhone 6 but it will not display the songs etc on the main screen, it will display the songs etc on your instrument screen.

You can also buy the Tune2air that plugs into your ipod cable and pair it with any cellphone and you can stream your music with great results.

When using tune 2 air it will display it on both correct? I rather use bluetooth only anyways.

No, it will only display on the instrument display not on the main screen.

Also if you have an iPhone it will display the songs etc otherwise is very limited on the information that it displays.

On my 2010 using T2A I get full control and display on COMAND like I did with a wired connection. Might be a facelift thing. I can search by album, artist, and iTunes Radio stations show under Playlists. It will also jump using the cell phone keypad.

So, i got all the parts. I unhooked everything and put it together to the harness and the 30 pin... I get nothing. No input, nothing on the screen. Nothing seems to connects... is this a software issue? Any help? What needs to be done once everything is connected.

Okay guys, I went to a local Mercedes shop and they basically needed to turn on the AUX on the command center for the car. Now everything works well.

Nice. Also the Tune2Air adapter works well in the 221. Looks exactly like that, wouldn't be surprised if they're the same hardware in different cases.

Does it work well with iphone 6?? Does it display on the acreen or only driver odometer dash?

In my 2010 with my IPhone 6 it integrates into COMAND no different than a hard dock connection. I can search/scroll through music by Playlist/Artist/Album/Song/Genre, use the cell phone pad alphanumeric keys to jump to a specific letter etc.

Everything displays on the main COMAND screen and I can skip tracks either with the left side steering wheel buttons or by rotating the COMAND dial.

This functionality may be a part of the MMI upgrade that 2010+ 221 have. Not sure for the 07-09 retrofit. I would say any function you get with a hard dock you'd get with the Tune2Air.

To find out, pick up a 30 pin to Lightning adapter so you can connect your IPhone 6 directly. Around $30.
