2007 S500 & iPhone 6 Plus
Members,
Just wanted to inform everyone that since I updated my iOS8 and phone to iphone 6 plus, I have been unable to pair the bluetooth (black puck) to the newer phone. The feature is gone for me, and it is very annoying considering that bluetooth should work no matter what version it is. If there is anyone on here that has paired an iphone 6 or 6 plus to your s550, let me know. Thanks

Yup. It's a very common issue. Apple said they fixed it with the new update but nooooo. I am ready to go back and find IOS 7 just so I can pair.

iPhone 6 does not pair with MB Bluetooth
I called Apple Care to report that my 2007 MB S550 was recognizing my iPhone, but that my iPhone was NOT recognizing my MB system. I had operated my MB Bluetooth system with my iPhone 5 with no problem, but once I upgraded (--that's a complete oxymoron) to ios 8, I was unable to utilize the bluetooth in my car. I was transferred immediately to an Apple Senior Technical Advisor (first indication that Apple knows there is a problem). I spent over 10 hours and multiple emails to my specially assigned Senior Technical Advisor (including me sending him a photo of each stage of me trying to pair the phone with the car, in response to the request of Apple's Engineers for the photos). He kept telling me that Apple's Engineers were "working on it." Each time they had more questions. I answered all their questions. They stopped asking questions. My Senior Technical Advisor stopped calling and stopped responding to my emails. I went to the Verizon store and asked what the problem was (--i.e., was my phone a lemon; should I get a replacement). They said APPLE IS WELL AWARE that the iPhone 6 is not pairing with Mercedes on the ios 8 system (and apparently Jaguar), and supposedly they are working on fixing the problem. It would be nice if Apple could be up front about this (...perhaps an apology is too much to ask for), and at least let us know that they are working on it. I had to buy a portable bluetooth device to use until Apple fixes this problem. Extremely disappointed in Apple and in Douglas Wardle, the Senior Technician at Apple who never had the courtesy to tell me that there was nothing more he could do.

I am also having blue tooth issues with my iphone 5s after upgrading to ios 8 software, my issue is I no longer can hear the dial tone when I call some one it just stays silent until the person your calling answers very annoying, I hope apple has a fix for this.
I tried an iphone 4 with old software and it worked perfectly.

Trade in those POS i-phones for Android based phones and all of your wildest dreams will come true.
I just can't figure out why so many people buy those inferior phones....especially since their commercials market them to nerds and gaming dorks. Perhaps that's exactly who is buying them?
