No S Class Today.
No S Class today. Just the GLK service loaner. You have to put the key in it if you want to start it and the seats are cold and hard. Is this how people in developing nations have to live every day?

So does it also have roll-up windows?

My dealer is giving 2015 C's right now. I love the waterfall dash like the old school s classes used to have. Never really cared for when Mercedes moved the shifter to the steering wheel, and pieced together the dash. Guess they followed BMW I guess. Here's the C.

I drove a new C. A big step up from the prior generation C and lots of cues from the new 222. Still drives like a small car though. I'm not crazy about the trend towards not trying to integrate the infotainment screen into dash and instead just plopping it on top. I also hate having a gearshift on the steering column, but I guess we're stuck with that.

I like your posts Mike but I hate to say I disagree with you on the location of the gear selector stalk . I love column shifter and not to mention, on the plus side you can have an extra storage area in console too left by the floor shifter
Having driven an S Class namely a W221 , I can see your point of bashing X204's seats , they may feel spartan in comparison with the W221's .
Even W212 owners are fairly bidding complaints about how uncomfortable their seats are
I like X204s too ,so are W205s minus looks like an afterthought installed Comand screen
I must say I would prefer triangular or trapezoid air vents too

LOL at Mike's developing nations comment
Seriously though, how do people drive cars without heated steering wheels, don't their hands get cold?
Just the other day I saw someone SLAM their car door shut. The door was apparently one of the ancient styles that doesn't pull itself shut. That guy could have got a carpal tunnel injury.. how unsafe!
What's next? Cars without without Logic 7 audio processing? Transmissions without a 7th gear? Glass that isn't UV coated? Unlit gloveboxes? The horror!

The trend was pushing towards bigger displays and it eventually reached a design tipping point where there wasn't an aesthetically pleasing way to integrate it into the dash any more. So MB said screw it, built a huge-*** high res display and just dropped it on top. It's a bold move and maybe it will set the trend.

At least W222 has a built in screen .Mike has a good point in his saying I remember one of MB designers talked about it . Main reason for it was to be able to swap it easier with a bigger screw in display .

You know... You wonder if they just said this at the end... "Everything looks great in here, but we have to tone it down a notch. We can't have it look better than our higher priced models, so lets just add this to the top to tone it down..."
