Hey guys I just got my 08 S550 and I brought it to the self carwash. I had the key in my pocket and everytime I hit the door handles with the water the lights would flash. Is there anyway around this? Thanks

Only way is to place the keys like 5 or so feet from car

Yep, super annoying. You have to leave the key somewhere else.

Yes annoying but the simple answer is to leave the key in the car. If you ever have a problem closing the trunk make sure the key is not in there in a jacket pocket or bag. Trunk will come down but not close all the way and open back up. If the key's in the car it won't go through the process of trying to lock the door.

In the vehicle settings menu on COMAND turn off "automatic locking"?

Next time I wash the car, I will have to look for this. I don't think this happens when I wash my car.

Yup, I have keyless go and leave the key inside the car during washing process . I am posting here to confirm what you complaint about never happens if you leave the key inside the car .
