TT vs NA is the 12+ tt engine s550 worth the extra 💲 ?

I would offer him $45k or less. If he wants more, hes smoking crack.
I got my 2012 with 18k miles CPO for less than $50k. I know it was a deal of the decade thats why i drove 32 hrs total, but i would search a little more to find the perfect car. It will be even better with CPO from benz dealer.
Good luck.

Send an email over to Bruce Mendel of Beck Imports. He's on this board a lot and sells a lot of service contracts. He can give you better advice on what these cars are selling for at auction....and might even be able to buy a car at auction that fits your needs and get you a much better price. KBB is not always reliable when it comes to cars like these.

2011 S63 AMG Designo Performance P3
Way too much for this car. It has very few options. It does have a Pano roof and AMG Sports Package from the looks of the pictures but no rear seat package, no B&O sound system, no rear A/C, no exclusive leather, no split view etc. You can find one at a better price with more options if you look harder and show patience. $59K is 2012 TT territory and would be the better choice. After reading all the posts on this from your various threads, it appears that you have made up your mind and you want this car because it's closer regardless of price and you're either trying to convince yourself that you're making the right decision or hope others convince you that your decision is a good one. If you are in a hurry to make the purchase go for it. I think you've gotten some good advice here and everyone agrees that the asking price is too much. By the way, 5.5L V8 or not, the NA S550 exhaust is nothing to brag about, thus the reason most seek to upgrade the system. Good luck.

Hey Larry thanks for all your help, the car was gone already when I asked yesterday seems he hasn't taken the add down for some reason,I think you are right about not jumping on a car because it was close,it did not have too many options and was a NA engine but I'm still looking, kinda leaning towards the TT but would take either of it has the options I want.It seems there's almost none with designo & sports appearance & premium 2 but those the packages I want to most. And I want a white or black one lol.i guess I will just be waiting it out :-/ lol

These cars do not last with low miles like that, even when price is higher. I look around once in a while still, and low mile S550's go quick.

when I was looking at S550s, the going price for 2012s was $50k+ to $64k, more miles, the more loaded, the lower the price. Less miles, the more loaded the higher the price.

I agree that a 2012-2013 may have a price tag from $50K - $64K with low miles and lots of options. I think that is reasonable and within the market average for those years. A 2011 even with low miles does not command the same premium even with options. There are other 2011 cars around with 19K-24K miles that don't run $59K. It is rare to get a 2011 with low miles because people who purchase these cars drive them but they are out there for far less. The funny thing about the private market is that a car will sell for whatever a person is willing to pay. When researching and looking at true value however, $59K is a lot for a 2011 even with just under 20K miles.

You should start seeing off lease 2012 models coming to market over the next few months. Being in LA, you should have no problems finding a suitable car. Troll the MBUSA CPO inventory daily as desirable cars will go quickly.

Too much money
I am NOT affiliated with this dealership, take a look at Herb Cmabers dealers in the Boston area. They always have some nice S class at prices that are just unreal. I bought my e550 2013 from them ......came very close to the S but I just liked the smaller size of the E. I rarely carry passengers and didn't need the bigger back seat and upfront the E had plenty of room for me. The TT motor is a rush! I always drive in sport around town, I have gotten 27.5mpg highway at 80mph! On the Mass. Turnpike.

Only potential issue with a purchase at a non-MB dealer is the warranty. If the car is on its 3rd owner, you won't be able to purchase a MB warranty, even from a MB dealer. MB won't CPO a car that has is on its 3rd owner, no matter what from what I have heard.

I was actually negotiating for a E550 while I was driving to go purchase my W221. Thee W212 lost out due to a couple of factors, the trade-in for my W212 was higher on the S350, the W212 was a TT-engine car, but had less features than my W212 I was trading in Plus I really liked the drive of the W221 better, and the mpg was a lot better, at higher speed cruising in W221. Lastly the interior on my W221 was a special order so it does not look like a typical W221 inside at all - Chocolate-Brown is fantastic.
