Not taking sides, but alot of the knicks do appear to be caused by shipping from my experience of shipping several sets of wheels. As long as they were insured there should be some compensation from the shipper(don't let them BS you with improper packaging etc...tell them you want to escalate the claim!).

I filed a claim with FedEx and called this morning to follow up, they have my claim it just hasn't been assigned to an agent, will check on Monday and see what happens. The knicks are rough, they are deep into the wheel, not just small surface knicks. The inch long rash on the one wheel was caused by the seller, he failed to mention that when he listed the wheels in EXCELLENT condition prior to the sale.

I don't think so. For each wheel to have several areas of damage would require that the protective cardboard and the plastic wrapping was compromised on not one but all four packages by Fed Ex.

The result would be corresponding damage through the protective cardboard on each wheel. I don't believe the protective cardboard had any signs of damage. And Fed Ex certainly didn't run a wheel into a curb and bend it.

Unfortunately, fedex is going to do... Nothing. They have their own packing requirements and it will not meet them. Been there.

I love it how the shipping company will gladly TAKE your money for the insurance but when it comes down to making a claim it's all "you didn't use the correct packaging"

Ok, then why did you "insure" it to begin with?

Messed up situation......BUT.........

if he said he was sending you touch up paint with the wheels......that fact didn't make you think there might be some nicks/damage?

No, figured he got it when he purchased the wheels and was just sending it with wheels to be nice.

Dennis, you are still going to be using these wheels, right? Even though the wheels aren't quite the condition you wanted, I think the price you paid was decent. If FedEx gives you $300 back would you be happy?

No, these wheels are not going on my car. I paid $1400 shipped with tires, these wheels are $1200 new shipped and spend maybe $800ish on tires ao the deal isn't that great.

I paid for an excellent quality wheel not damaged wheels.

I called FedEx yesterday for an update on my claim, they told me 5 to 7 days but said they received documents from the shipper (AznEvo) I texted him yesterday to see if he had talked to them, to give me some insight on what's goin on, he didn't reply. Will keep everyone posted how this situation turns out.

Did you block my number? You got the texts the day I got the wheels and now all of a sudden you didn't get the texts, that's funny right there. I don't have your email, never contacted you via email. I will send you a PM on the boards here.

This is childish, not going to go back and forth about your damn email, my paypal email is different from a personal email etc etc.

Denis, what was the condition of the cardboard guards and the plastic wrapping? If there's no damage that corresponds to the nicks I can't see how Fed Ex is on the hook. Honestly none of that looks like shipping damage to me.

Az, what about just taking them back and deducting the return shipping from the refund? Then you can hash it out with Fed Ex.

Mike,

Only ONE wheel looked like it was beat up and the wrap had started to separate from it's self. I honestly do not remember the condition of the board before I took it off, I un wrapped it and set it aside, later threw it out and didn't bother to look at it. I still think he lied about the condition before he sent them out. He won't do a refund, he won't work with me, he is just hoping FedEx cashes us out and takes care of the deal, doubt it'll happen.

Yeah, Fed Ex is going to want to verify the condition of the packing material. They'll be of no help. Az, what's the rationale for not taking them back less shipping? It does give the impression that you sold the guy some messed up wheels and now your approach is more or less "tough ****...you were stupid enough to buy them so now they're your problem."

Remember back when you first got your car and you posted like-new floor mats for sale? You stated they were in such good condition from the dealership that they still had the vacuum stripes on them. It was only after multiple PMs that I was able to establish that the metal badges were scuffed up like any other used set of floor mats, and I passed on them. Your eye for what passes for "like new" or "excellent" doesn't appear to be the standard most reasonable owners have.

Denis probably should have demanded isolation shots of the damaged areas, but he trusted you because of your affiliation with the forum when you stated the low miles (which was true) and the excellent condition, which was not true. 3 of those wheels are in "good" or "fair" cosmetic condition and one is out right bent and needs a refurb and truing, which would be "poor" condition,

If you think FedEx damaged your product in shipping, take the product back and go after Fed Ex, but don't stick the buyer with your problem. He didn't pack them, and he didn't choose the shipper.

He listed the wheels as "excellent" "only 1500 miles" so by his word I figured there was NO DAMAGE, he stated it multiple times between conversation that there was no damage and they were like NEW. He did send 4 individual pictures BUT who knows when those pictures were taken, before damage was made or right before they shipped off. That remains a mystery. I am glad others have had previous experience with him and are calling him out on his lies. I believe in karma and the $1400 will bite him in the *** eventually.

His excuse for not refunding my money is because I made the thread. He said he is a valuable person to his family and other people. I asked him why it was so hard to refund my money, let the forum see what kind of person he is. He also runs a food business and I asked him what if the word got back to his business about the type of person he is, he took that as a threat and now is not wanting to help with FedEX because I said they won't help out. So looks like I am **** out of luck with this "business man" so if you're ever in Elliot City MD and want to eat go visit Bon Chon Chicken and tell him i said hello
