Aesthetics & poll: Sport pkg vs. non-Sport

I generally like the sport package on Benz. In the case of the S550, I actually think I like the non-sport better. It seems more classy, and with the chrome trim that continues from the front bumper all the way to the rear, it flows well.

Also, don't know if I care for the gray portion on the sport rear bumper.

Wheels notwithstanding, what are you opinions?

BTW, is it true that the sport front bumper hangs lower than non-sport?

i specifically sought-out a non-sport when i bought my 221 new 18mos ago for a few reasons:
1/ i view the s-class sedan as a luxury car and not a sports car and want it to look and feel like a *luxury* cruiser;
2/ i have a separate sports car for the sports car ride; and
3/ i never saw the value in the ~$6,000 that the dealers get for the sports package cladding as there is no performnce improvement.

and now as i look to replace my 221 with a 222 i am right back at the same argument against the sport package on the new car as i framed up above as i was when i bought my 221. ugh. to me it all comes down to value and what i get for the money. and for ME i cant see it. ymmv.

Sports plus one for me. The 20" amg wheels look awesome on the car and tighten the road manners just enough.

The chrome on the front spoiler on the regular car makes it suitable for the geriatric crowd imo.

Sport for me. Both look fantastic but the sport looks more amazing. My car has the sport package with pano roof and it looks great. However, if I got a W222, I probably not have the sport package.

I'm gonna be sporting up my S600 with AMG wheels & S63 body kit. It looks too tame in base form, especially the pre-facelift models.
