"Well it paid off! That thing would look right at home in the middle of a ghetto."

"Geez. Thanks!"

I'm just wondering if there's a better, less offensive word than "ghetto" to describe what we're talking about here.
The word you seek is "Tacky". Smh I loved this forum before I stumbled upon this thread.

When I hear someone use the word "tacky" I always feel like they're seventy years old and discussing drapes. Yeah, this forum definitely has an abundance of "personality", If you want dry, technical and polite try Benzworld.

The old timers there decided to create an enormous sticky "encyclopedia" about the car consisting of hundreds of old threads. Any time a noob asks a question in a thread someone replies "SEE THE ENCYCLOPEDIA!" and that's the end of it.

If you want interactive and some occasional off topic buffoonery from guys who will actually spend the time to try to help you, despite having answered the same question three thousand times before, I'm afraid you're stuck with us.

We'll help you here, but we're probably going to have a little fun doing it. If that offends your sensibilities....

When I think of how many owners with transmission problems have been helped by that thread, I weep.

Depends on the weather
Someone is selling the same Monaco Concave wheels with tires for only $1400.00 that Chris the Swede has in 22's, except in 20's. They look really good on his car.

I have thought about changing a few times. I wont sacrifice ride though. Also whenever you have a problem the dealer always points to aftermarket as the problem.

I'd sit pat on those wheels. The car looks beautiful and perfectly OEM as it is. And yeah, any opportunity to blame anything they can't figure out on the car they'll take. Trying to diagnose a vibration on the car and NOT instantly blame the aftermarket wheels (or at my shop, where they blamed using a non OEM brand tire) is a nightmare.

What's really sad is that in some markets, $1.4M just buys you a nice normal house now.

Gorgeous. My only hesitation is the lip. It just seems like you lose an inch of perceived rim diameter.

Ummm my S63 came stock with staggered 20's. The GL63 and ML63 come with 21's stock. If I could find a set of those I'd put them on my car, they look sweet. Someone had posted pics with them on an S class in the picture thread.

Hello all..Here are my 2 latest cars WITH 22". If you have a deepr lip I would NEVER go less than 22" If you have a flat face I could strach my self and go for 21" since they look bigger.

Awesome, vip style look. Clean. I don't know what they don't make that wheel in a 22" for the USA market.

When you leave the ghetto behind and move into the gated community, it's called upward mobility and its what makes this country great.

But when you bring the ghetto with you to the gated community... the term used is "nouveau riche". Generally typified by the gauche.

Most people in the gated community have enough class to tolerate and even expect some initial awkwardness among new neighbors. After all, we weren't all born on the golf course. Some of us had to make it on our own.

While ghetto may not be black and white... where the line gets crossed is when everyone knows it's been crossed.

22's on the s class? close to the line, but not necessarily over it. Dressed well and driving sensibly sure helps make it work.

22" chrome spinners? Probably over the line. Baggy pants and cap on sideways just seals the deal.
