Are you recording the songs in the mp3 format?

Oh......when I pulled down the AUDIO drop down menu on the Command, I saw that it had MP3 as one of the options.
Most of my music was iTunes formatted but I found a free MP3 converter for Mac It's very slow to go from a CD .wav format to MP3 (like 2-4 mins per song) but from Apple AAC to MP3 takes a couple of seconds per song.
I had a few .wav & MP4 songs on my data card initially but Command did not see (read) them.

If you wish you can search my older posts to find posts regarding my experiences with the adapters and memory various cards. However I guess it's possible that my success in the US might not be relevant for you in Europe.

I just bought an '09 S550 and need to get a PCMCIA reader. Where do I buy these at? Are they avail with different capacities such as 1gb or 2gb etc? Or are they just adapters with a standard SD card? If not, how do I load my data (music) onto the PSMCIA? The car also has a Apple type plug in the glove box, but I don't use any Apple products. My other vehicles accepted USB memory sticks, but I can't find a way to plug one into this '09 S550 -- is there a trick that I don't know about?

There are PCMCIA cards that look exactly the same while one supports SD HC cards, the other one only SD cards.

You just did not use a PCMCIA adapter that supports SD-HC cards, those are quite common. You could have tested your SD-card adapter with a 2 GB or smaller SD card. Those are almost always SD cards instead of SD-HC cards.

Trust me.......................I've purchased 4-5 PCMCIA's and the only that works is the one that supports CF cards with a 4 GB.

Transcend is not known for reliability. They are cheap for a reason. It may not be the OP's problem but it would be better to start with a quality card. SanDisk or Lexar would be much better choices.
