It sounds very very similar to this but better.

Sorry guys! It's a nice deep rumble sound (NO DRONE) but the gas mileage went down too much. I'm averaging 9 mpg city since I did it.

I'll post a video before I put it back to stock or replace the mufflers with something else.
Shouldn't mpg go up with the reduced back pressure? Should run cooler as well, right?

You'd think but I guess the back pressure helps with mpg on the S class. It's down significantly even with light driving so I'm going back to stock or the Becker I'll decide when I get my car back.

Do you have any videos of your car while moving? You have the Becker exhaust or did you add something with it?

Are you thinking a lack of back pressure is causing the low MPG?

Edit, sorry I didn't read the second page

Becker and then two in line 18" glasspacks. I can record from the cabin while moving. Not sure how I'd get the moving external sound, but my kid is a TV producer so I bet I could figure it out.

Everything is so much nicer when it's authentic AMG. Really the right way to do a quad exhaust is to buy a new or salvage S63 exhaust. Pricey though and you'd never recover that money.

You can place your phone or recording device on the ground and just drive past or park near it and rev a few times

The pipe on the muffler and chassis is 2.4. I can't find resonators with 2.4 inlet and outlet anywhere. I do see 2.25 and 2.5 would a 2.5 resonator be too big to weld on properly?

We might have different exhaust layouts because I don't see an x-pipe anywhere. This is a bad pic from the rear because I don't have a lift but I don't see an x-pipe anywhere.

I'm trying to order the resonators online before I show up at the shop. I don't want to use any old resonator they have on hand. I found some that are specifically made reduce noise.

Does anyone have a picture of the underside of a 2007 base? I received the exhaust but now I'm confused as to which resonators I will need. Even more confused on where to cut.
