Trying to find infor on 2012 S350

Am having a hard time finding the VIN lookup site to enter this VIN

WDDNG8DB2CA446974

Can anybody help? What to look for on a '12 S350, 49k miles, want 42K for it. I have an '11 S550 and don't know much about the diesel version.

Thanks for the help.

The 350 is an acquired taste, usually for people who already have an affinity for diesel going in. In US sales numbers I think it slots in around the same as the 400 Hybrid. If you know you want the diesel (and it does have some advantages vs petrol) the 350 is the same car in every other respect as a 550. Otherwise, inexpensive 550s are everywhere and prices are very good, so I'd be looking for a clean low mileage 550.

Besides the normal stuff you would look for with any car - clear car fax, clean mechanical and maintenance records from a MB dealer, I would check for any oil leaks as the V6 diesel has had issues with the lower turbo inlet and oil cooler oil seals failing, but once replaced they are good to go.

The car is definitely not as fast as a S550, but it will get you a long way down the road before you need to stop for fuel.
