Does anyone else have this in their trunk?

Noticed this cord in the trunk. I cannot find anything about it in the owners manual or the forum. Just curious if anyone knew what it could be before I removed the panel.

I think someone stashed a hair dryer under that panel. Whatever it is, it's not part of your car

My guess is someone put in a battery charger....or maybe a battery tender of some sort.

I am thinking the same. I will have the dealership check it out when it goes in for service.

It's coming off the left trunk liner panel where the audio gear is, rather than the right side where the extra battery would be. My guess is there was an aftermarket subwoofer in the car at some point.

Yeah I see that. The 1st pic was blurry on my cell phone. I'd go with a battery tender or heater. It's not difficult to remove that left liner. I believe it's all done with a #20 Torx driver.

Could be a Canadian car. The temperature spec on the cord is in Celsius.

We don't have those cords in our trunk in Canada!!!! If it were a block heater it would be in the front of the car not the trunk.

I think most people realize that this cable is certainly not Original Equipment and as such some responses are submitted with "tongue in cheek".

Perhaps it is pre-wiring for a rear cooler box?

What would be even cooler (no pun intented) is if he pulled the panels off and someone had the fridge hidden behind the panels.
