Was speed limit assist available in W221 vehicles? If so what year?

2015 S550
It became available on the S-class in the 2009 model year in Europe. I don't believe it is available or would work with the US speed limit signs.

Thanks, I figured it would be something like that. I didn't get the owners manual but one has been ordered.
