can a '12 spare key be programmed to work with a '13?
hello all,
as per the title of the post, can a spare smart key from a '12 s550 4matic be reprogrammed to work with a '13 s550 4matic ?
found a spare from the '12 we had and only hve one key for the '13 we have right now so a spare would be helpful !

Through legitimate channels, no. Through questionable channels, it may be possible, but the most reliable and recommended way is just order a spare from your dealer. It will be programmed to your car when you receive it, and will just work.

The picture is not clear and description says about transmitter, but it is the key no doubt. This is the price I paid for chrome key over 10 years ago.
Worth emailing them what is procedure.
I noticed that after posting, that the forum script did it again.
I was responding to topic in W210 section and script placed it in W221 section.
I think it will help here as well, so I am leaving it.
