2008 S600 ECU Tune

Gents,

I have been searching for anyone that has done the eurocharged tune on a +08 S600 and have come up emptyhanded. I am trying to see if anyone on here has done it. I have seen the results of an 07 S600 and it had 70hp and 160tq gain, but that's through OBDII tuning using real time tuning on the dyno. Unfortunately, my 08 ECU was changed and you can't tune thru the OBDII and can only get ecu reflashed, so I'm trying to gather concrete info vice their claims on website. All I've done to my car is a muffler delete and then more recently a resonator delete, SOUNDS AMAZING! Gas mileage and performance went up noticeable as the cat seems peppier, but I wanna get a little more out of it with a tune.

Thanks for your help again!

Depends on the weather
Eurocharged, Renntech, SpeedDriven

There are a few places that will do the ecu/tcu tune...look on their sites for their local dealers who can do the tune.

Tuning through the OBD port stopped with the W220. All W221's, including 2007 require the ECU to come out of the car and be cracked open for tuning. Most good tuners , such as Eurocharged, will install a canned tune based on octane in your area. Most tuners offer very similar results....and I have a feeling that the coding is nearly identical. The biggest question is: Do you want to spend a lot more to go with RennTech when you can get the same results with Eurocharged for a lot less money? Both of them stand behind their tunes.

Thanks Dave! Thats pretty much what they said, for some reason he said 2007 could be through OBD, but it was probably just me being lost in translation. With the support I have gotten from Eurocharged thus far, I will probably stay with them as I am thinking it will yield the same results. Additionally, I will be doing a base dyno this wknd and I will let you all know the results and hopefully within the month I will get the tune done.

It's best to have the baseline dyno done as close as possible to the second one with the tune so that ambient temps are similar and the dyno has the same calibration. Please be sure to post your before and after dyno sheets. Then you can send copies over to Logic Lab so they can see what a properly tuned car looks like.

Thanks for your response Erik!

I have sent you a somewhat lengthy PM. Its so hard finding people who have had these things tuned by certain tuners!

You may get a very slight boost in HP, but you'll likely lose some torque with the loss of some back pressure.

It really wasn't too noisy. It was AMAZING! Granted, there is a slight drone at highway speeds. I could tell that the turbos spooled up earlier as well and they had a more distinct sound. It won't **** of the neighbors if thats what you're worried about. First I did the muffler and it wasn't bad.. I did the resonator next and it was a better sound.. You won't be disappointed though. I have since sold my car and it moved on to its new life and I am now in the Supra world, so I still have a TT car

I can recommend The guys at Eurocharged. They stand behind their products and Jerry and Jake know what they are doing. Yes, the ME 2.7.2 must be removed as Bosch has it locked down so tight it can't be read with anything other than dealer software. Once it is read, I "hear" a Kess V2 can *write* to it, but the IMMO data but be read from it on the bench. Same with TCU- must be done on bench. Yes, there are great gains in their tunes.

AMG C63S
Hi Guys,

I have a 2016 AMG C63S Sedan.... I called about 10 exhaust shops in Connecticut and each one refused to do a secondary Cat delete. I am not sure how you guys are having success finding anyone who is willing to do this. I simply get a NO as an answer from everyone I called.

Can anyone recommend someone around my area who is able and capable of doing such a task?

was wondering if the drone was only after the resonators came out or did you have drone after removing just the mufflers? I want to delete mine, but take long highway trips, sometimes with my parents in the car. Will it annoy my passengers? Thanks

My 2007 S550 has 163K and I plan on putting on another 100K before letting it go. My 2003 CL 600 has 81K I will let that go at 100K

I can't stress the transmission tune enough! It really "wakes up" the car. Makes it drive like a lighter car, especially in traffic and lower speeds. Do both, trust me
