2012 S350
2012 model year map updates stopped?

I have a 2012 S350 and am trying to get a current map.

Based on what I can find, the 2014 map is still the latest available as of today.

Does anyone know if MB stops offering maps after two years? or is MB likely to offer a newer map sometime?

Thanks,
Charles

There is certain to be more updates available in the future. Unfortunately for you guys with the face-lifted cars, you have to pay the dealer to do your updating.

If I were you, unless there was a major stretch of road that was changed or added to your area, I wouldn't sweat it. COMAND map updates have been useless for me especially when it comes to POI updates. The amount you would pay to have the update done would not be worth the incremental improvement in the listings. Mercedes should just dump the whole database provider Here.com and partner with Google Maps going forward. I know I'm ranting and probably hijacking this post, but I wanted a location for a 20 year old Marriott in one of the towns visiting and it still wasn't listed in COMAND. I come to find out the data was maintained by Nokia which got bought by Microsoft and is now under Here.com. I'm speaking from memory, but when I went to their website, signed up for an account, and check their community posts, I realized that many of the POIs were user provided and maintained. Many European users have made CORRECTIONS to the map data. WTF??? Bottom line, don't waste your money on COMAND map updates.
