Depends on the weather
2:15am and I am just home. What a freaking smooth ride from Florida - minus the rain I went through when I passed Disney and then all through Georgia and SC and NC! Geez!
My wife only saw pictures but she'll see it tomorrow. I know she will like it.
TaTa motor owns it and they have made major improvements and built a really solid car.
Anyway - I'm sorry guys....the sound system in the jag sounds like I added 2 subs and all kinds of tweeters. The bass and clarity is absolutely ridiculous! The drive is butter smooth and the power is nice even though it's 385hp it's only around 4000lbs and when you put it in sport and dynamic mode it moves.
I saw it online Thursday, flew down this morning and drove it back home! :-)
It's a 2011 XJL, Liquid Silver and had 36k miles on it before I drove it home and it's still under factory warranty. 1 owner, guy barely drove it. Smells like brand new leather. It has the panoramic roof, massaging heated and cooled seats, rear mirrors, sunshades, lcd screen for the speedo, touchscreen nav, HD radio, xm, dvd player, etc. Rear passegers have their own climte controls, etc. It's fully loaded and I got a GREAT deal!
Can't wait to go out and look at it tomorrow in the light as I havent had a chance to explore it since I drove it straight back after buying it.
Few pics for now. I still cant get over the freaking sound system. You can literally feel the base in your chest.
Once I tint the windows it's going to look 100% better. It's not a benz but it's a really nice car.
I ALMOST FORGOT! So to turn on certain things like the cabin lights or open the glove box etc all you have to do is wave your hand in front of them...crazy!
Tired- long drive. Post more tomorrow.

Congrats , I don't think it would be giving you more pleasure than your W221 but I must say this car is hectic in terms of styling

That car looks more chopped with less glass than my old Chrysler 300. Jaguars depreciate faster than any other luxury make, so I'm sure you scored what you thought was a great deal. Now you get to choose which will be your DD. Good luck making that choice.

Yup, they do depreciate very fast and it was another one of those GREAT deals like on my 600. :-)
I didn't fly all the way to FL and drive back the same day to save a couple thousand lol. If I end up not wanting it I can always sell it and make more than what I bought it for.

Lol!!
The jag has better massaging features. The benz I used once to test, same with the jag and you can actually really feel the jags in your back. I'll never use it though.
It's a tough call to say which one rides better. It was a butter smooth ride back in both but I'd have to drive them back to back to compare.

The "L" signified long wheelbase, right? Viewing your interior pic, it appears that there really isn't that much leg room in the back your car. Also, the rear of the car looks longer than the front, which seems to go against the Jag tradition of long hoods and short deck lids.
I'm guessing what really attracted you to the car were the picnic tables, right?

hahaha, no not the tables!
It's actually bigger, the front seats are pulled pack a lot. There is quite a bit of room back there. I'll get some more pics later. I am about to drive it to NJ.

Here are a few pics I just took since I am not going to NJ now. Sorry for being off topic since this isn't related to benz but at least a good comparo will be done. It's not the best car in the world but it's a great car over all and some people like the style and some don't...but I guess that is why there isn't one car maker and one model of car in the world.

There is no way thast cars rides better than a S class with airmatic. It's skiddish over bumps. I'm sure you got a great deal, but when you hit bumps you will know why the benz is superior.
