Airmatic Warranty
Hi Folks, I have a 2012 S550 with an extended factory MB warranty. Car has 30K miles on the clock and I notice that about every hour or so the car makes a noise like a tire rubbing on the smooth concrete. Almost like the car is moving a tad on the garage floor. I assume this is an air leak somewhere in the Airmatic system. Is the whole system covered by the extended MB warranty or just the pump. Thanks.

Is it throwing an AirMatic warning? Might need to wait for that.

No errors yet, just noise from the car about every 60 minutes or more. Could be more frequent but I am not going to sit there are wait for it to happen and time the frequency. Isn't there a leak down test they can do.

Me too! Car I bought was literally perfect, like new....and I had spoken on the phone with the dealer service manager, and the mechanic who was the only guy that was allowed to touch this car -- both swore it was perfect. So after tons of other homework and background checking...I forwent getting it inspected and took it home....

Weather has been so bad don't think I've put 250 miles on it in 3 or 4 months.
All joking aside, any opinion on Falken tires? (not for the 550.....for a Volvo)

I have Falken snows on my 600. Decent tires and get me around fine on snow and ice....but not as much snow & ice bite as the Pirelli Scorpions I used to have on my 300 SRT8 or the Blizzaks I had on my M5. They do handle decent on dry roads and don't get mushy like the Blizzaks when temps get above 50, so they are a decent mid-range snow tire and are built for a heavy car like the S.
