When I made the thread about how everyone keeps all their cars stored. I also ment, how many of those cars are actually yours... In CL600s case. How many of those locations do you actually own property at?

I actually have a business, so I get parts wholesale but you can order the parts online. Just put your VIN number in, so they will not send you the wrong parts. You need (1) 0000004200 activation code and (1) Q6460341 disc. Www.mbonlineparts.com. 36.00 for the disc and 163.20 for code.
BTW, you might be able to talk to your local MZ Parts Manager and see, if he will sell you the disc and product key for the price online. Possibly print out the prices and show him and he possibly will meet those prices, because there is still profit in it for him and it gives them credits for the sales over the counter. I think the price the dealer pays for the disc is about 20.00 and the product key is something like 55.00. So, they are making money even if they discount them for you.

Here is the new updates, its enormous, the difference. It even shows grocery stores as shopping cars, retail stores as little shopping bags, charging station as plugs, fast food like McD.'s etc. as burgers. It really is fascinating and fun. I love the graphics changes plus it loads much faster.

I posted the part numbers and the activation codes you can buy the entire set up for Disc Q6460441 36.00 and activation Code 0000004200 147.20. All for $183.20, which is actually very inexpensive. Compared to retail and paying sales tax and having the dealer do it for you. Go on line and buy them here.

You MUST input your VIN and for them to give you the product code for your car. These are not interchangeable like the pre-face lifted cars were. It takes exactly 75 minutes to do and you need to have your car on a battery charger while doing it because your key must be in the run position for 75-85 minutes. It tells you all of this in the disc jacket.

One thing I am not clear on is if the pre-face lifted cars download the information or you have to leave the disc in like on the 2000-2006 models. If that is the case, you wouldn't need to worry about draining your battery. The inside cover of the NT3.5 states that you must have your car connected to a battery charger and the KEY in the run position.

I didn't know that they gave a discount for being on this site. Their prices are cheap enough. I like to get a good deal, as long as I don't feel I'm being screwed, I'm good with their pricing.
My guess would be to call them and tell them you are a member of the site and they might give you a code to use.

I was thinking the same thing. The service manager at the dealer told me to buy a disk, they charge to much. But I didn't at the time no to ask about the difference for face lifted models.

2. Apparently not....although I'm sure most dealers will tell you that you have to do it at the dealership since it requires a code. It sounds like you need to obtain a code from them or another online parts dealer in order to install it in the face-lifted cars. Pre-face-lift requires no code, so the same disk can be used over an over again for multiple users. Download it, take it out, and you're done!
I believe there were updates to COMAND with the face-lift, so even though the updates came out at the same time, the maps/icons/POI may actually look different. I hope somebody who updates to v15 on the 07-09 cars posts some pics so we can see if it looks like CL's.

Anyone have any luck ordering the part #s in the screenshot below from mbonline parts?
My order was cancelled from mbonlineparts today with the message: "The part on order IS A DEALER ONLY supplied item and can not be ordered on-line. This part can only be ordered from your local dealer."
These orders appear to be fulfilled through Benzel-Busch Mercedes in New Jersey. I had put a comment in to the order, stating that I had double checked the VIN for the license...but apparently they still would not do it for me.

I hate to spoil it all, but .....................
I just use my cell phone when I need to navigate somewhere nowadays. Before gps and navi was standard in cell phones this was all cool in cars. But now, you have google maps and TeleNav and other gps apps that update regularly with new roads, businesses, housing developments, etc. and give you traffic updates en route.
I was in charlotte on I77 the other day using google maps and it sent me on detour around using i385 (or whatever that loop is called) from where I was trying to go because as I approached it picked up on an accident 1.5 miles ahead. I hop off the exit .5 miles ahead. go to i385 go around and come back out on i77 a few miles ahead of the wreck no traffic. BOOM. LIVE UPDATE!!
so with the new technologies, until they add this capability in the new cars, i.e. 2016 and future, AND I can afford to purchase one then the gps/nav in the car is obsolete to me. As long as the little circle moves on the screen along the road while I'm driving and it looks cool to people riding in the car that have never been in it then, hey, I'm cool.
once again sorry to spoil all the talk, don't mind me. I'd rather spend the $200 on something else in the car. Like, sit it aside and add it to my illuminated door sills fund!!
