Trunk umbrella holders

I did it!!
I found the parts online and paid a whopping $36 for everything. The shipping is what brought the price up; it was $13.95, the parts were ~$19 plus tax!! Anyways, the holes are under the liner, you just have to put the treenails (plastic clip-in nuts) to catch the screws. You don't have to pull the whole liner off; I just unsnapped the bottom clips, and removed the plastic covers from each trunk arm (not sure the proper term). I saw the holes where the treenails go, clipped them in, lined up the screws, and like that, I was done. No exaggeration, it took me maybe 15 minutes to mount it. The longest part was lining up the screws to the treenails. Once I got one side lined up, the other side was a snap. I'll post pictures this evening of the part #s and the finished product. All in all, very easy to do!

This is a bit off topic, if I buy a new trunk id with reverse camera and autoclose. Will there be much more than software updating/calibration required to get them working? I can imagine that there is a motorized mechanism that isn't on my current setup.

Both of those projects will put you well over budget. For the reverse camera, you might want to consider going with a setup from Midcity Engineering. Much cheaper than stock, a ton easier to install, and a much more clear reverse picture than the stock camera. Others on this board have installed the power trunk closer, so you can do a search on the board and find many examples and how-to's. That too is a fairly expensive project and it does require programming.

No idea. I did a search for khul box on the internet and this is what I came up with. Looks like a smiley face to me. And I couldn't believe it actually said "rare luxury factor" on it. That was just weird!

Hi,
My trunk lid has an Auto close button and an Auto close and Lock button; so if you get that type of a trunk lid, it may require come additional programming...

For the umbrella holder? No need to get a new trunk lid, mine has the same feature as yours with power button on the door controls as well, and absolutely no programing needed. Just peel back the top liner a bit and it will make perfect sense.
