s320 cdi crank shaft pulley replacement?
Has anyone replaced a main crank pulley on a s320 CDI w221 2008?
I am repairing a car for family with multiple faults and just noticed the crank pulley rubber is half hanging out of it. So I better replace it or get someone else to.
I own a w211 e55 and iv heard horror stories of crank shaft key ways on these mercs being damaged due to incorrect installation or in the e55 case probably to much boost.
I just dont want to get half way into this job and find iv jumped off the deep end with issues that I cant solve easily.
Does anyone have access to the workshop procedure for the replacement of this part?
Also I notice who ever has worked on this car last put a bloody 5 rib poly v instead of a 6 rib poly v and that got me wondering if that has contributed to the failure?!!
Can it be replaced with the radiator in position?? Looks like theres a decent amount of room down there but its not enough for a pulley puller.

Nothing is simple on an MB---bla bla--in any event you really need to review WIS docs AR0330P1600SXI(pulley removal) and AR0330P5000SXI(install lock for crank gear(special tool)
Both docs have all the instructions, special tools and torques. See startekinfo.com
All work suggested from below, therefore no radiator removal---however
