2010 S550 Won't Start

Hi,

I've seen quite a few posts on this so if my particular item has already been addressed and I missed it, please let me know!

I have a 2010 S550 with Keyless Go. I noticed the car occasionally having a difficult time starting (it cranks several times and then threatens to stop but then kicks over), but this morning it wouldn't start at all, and there's only a faint noise of the starter motor trying to turn but not strong enough to actually feel anything. I had AAA come out and test the front battery and it registered "good" and was delivering 701 CCA. They tried jump-starting it and still nothing happened. I have Mercedes Roadside and could try them, but does anything think it could still be the starter battery? I'm hesitant to have it towed to the dealer if it's just the battery.

Thank you!

The 2010 has only one battery, up front. Sounds like yours is shot.

I had two separate starting issues six months apart. First time it was a fuel pump module in the rear. Second time it was the starter battery.

I had the exact same issue 2 months ago, sluggish start for a few months and one day it was done. It was the starter.

Thank you for the replies. Since the battery came back with a positive reading I suppose it's time for a trip to the dealer...

I've been thinking about your comment and come to think of it I've smelled gas twice in the rear of the car but it dissipated within a day or two so I thought nothing of it. Perhaps it has something to do with the fuel pump!
