221 Bluetooth????
Okay, so I bought the bluetooth adapter off of amazon that everyone was raving about on the forum. I actually bought two. One for my wifes 21. It works like a charm in her car. However, i've come to realize that, I don't even have the ipod connector in the glovebox. Now what?? Is there any other way to get some bluetooth sound in my ride????

You my friend are in the W221 audio hole from hell. You'd have to get your hands on an OEM IPod kit (out of production). Dave found an aftermarket piece by MidCity but I'm not sure the model #.

Then you can get a bluetooth receiver, connect it to the power and the AUX input. Pair your device and select AUX from the COMAND Sound menu.
It has some disadvantages over the iPod car kit namely that all the steering wheel buttons do is volume; everything else has to be controlled from the phone. Also, whenever the car wants to say something, it mutes the AUX completely whereas for other inputs, it just lowers the volume.
But hey, you'll be able to listen to streaming music or podcasts!

Another way to do this is to get an aftermarket AUX cable; an indy place can connect it to your sound system and drop it in the glovebox. Also have them run some power along with it.

I'm resurrecting this thread as I need some help.
I have an 11 S550 and want to stream
Music, etc. from my I phone (6S+). I bought a 30 pin to lightening cable from apple but it's too short and I don't like to have cables floating around in the car. As far as I read over the forum viseeo is a good solution.
Which viseeo should I buy? I see that there are multiple versions. WMA 1000, 3000A and 3000B. My car has the media socket and a 30pin and and aux cable connection to it (which is removable I assume)
I assume that it won't interfere with the comand telephone bluetooth as they are different protocols.
Thank you in advance.

Or are you talking about cool stream duo?
So my options are:
Viseeo Wma1000; as I already have the ipod 30 pin cable
Wma3000a; I'd rather get rid of any excess cable but I don't know if it would recognize the iphone without the 30pin cable (excuse my igonrance on the subject)
Cool stream duo: I'd rather pay $30 as opposed to $78 if it functions the same

The media interface is looking for an iPod. I'm not talking iPod Touch. I mean the old 160MB Classics. They have a very specific file structure and a way of handling organization. They don't have Spotify, or Pandora, or any 3rd party music player. Apple has advanced. Mercedes has not.
You'll have full control of the IPhones local music files and Apple Music via COMAND or the steering wheel controls as if you had a hard dock connection. In 3rd party apps, only skip track commands will execute. If you use COMAND to pull up a playlist on Spotify for example, it'll default back to the Apple player.
If you like to poke around in Spotify rather than just letting it play and skipping unwanted tracks you'll need access to the device to control it. But full control of Apple Music and the default ITunes Player.

It's awesome what you did with your car's sound system. I wish I had that know how and talent.
