W221 S550 4Matic Motor Mounts and brake pads replace after 15 months & 11k miles???
During last year's inspection/emissions at 117k my SA told me that "one motor mount was worn, but would pass inspection and the other was 'fine'", but I choose to go ahead and replace them....front brake pads were also replaced at this time.
fast forward to this year's inspection - 15 months and 11k miles later...and SA advises "motor mounts are worn and need replaced".....seriously???....original lasted 117k...these last 11k....wtf...brake pads (and rotors now) also need replaced again after only 11k...(I've gone 30k with other pad on same vehicle and still live/drive same amount in same house (location)
Service manager told me that the rotors were 1 mm over CPO minimum so they didn't need replaced and went ahead and blamed the close rotors to why I only got 11k miles on new pads
think i am getting shafted here....i was born at night, just not LAST night!
Thoughts?

MB are terrible cars, just not quite that terrible. Either they charged you last time but did nothing, or want to charge for unnecessary work this time, or both.

Lexus tried that **** with my Father on his 3 year old es350 with 36,000 miles. They hammered him for almost $2000 in mostly unnecessary work. I got them to refund $800 and throw him a couple of free services. Gotta watch those *******s. Tell them you want to see the worn parts on the car and decide for yourself. Someone is dicking you over.

How/why you do you need replacement. Some SA like to up sale based on your car mileage.
If you don't have vibration on drive when stop. Your motor mount is good.
If your brake light is not on the dash, your pads are still good
Ask SA to show you while the car is on the lift. The motor mount should have a clearance of your index finger between frame and bottom of motor mount. Brakes are easier, compare new pads thickness to your pads, new pads is about 1/2" thick.

You need to find a good Indy shop that specializes in German cars or more specifically MB. Especially if you are out of warranty with those miles.
