I can understand that you are an expert of all things W221, but mine rides no stiffer... Just handles corners better. I run this thing up the autobahns at 130 no problems. Hit a bump at 60 and it's no different for me than it is with the stock 18s or 19s, I have both.

You must have the ultra-rare magic carpet ride suspension option....as everybody else's W221 rides much harder with larger wheels and short profile tires compared to smaller wheels and higher profile tires.

I can say with absolute certainty that my car has a more compliant ride over bumps with the stocker 18" wheels than my 20" AMG summer wheels. And that's with the ABC suspension that automatically adjusts for almost every road condition and keeps the car flat around turns.

No, I don't have the ultra-rare magic carpet ride suspension option, but it sounds amazing. I'll see if I can get that on my W222. I've had 3 W221s, as well as members in my family. The only time I've noticed a difference was when I put the lowering links in one of them. It softened the ride of my ABC car, and made it a little bouncy.
