took headlight apart..

mercedes hid projector low light output and weak cut-off line compare to bmw and lexus..

i would modify the cut-off bracket and change the lense to clear one.

ebay headlights are awful, especially the no name ones

ebay does have some quality stuff, like people selling their old OEM headlights

the ones with leds for the w220 are terrible, like the ones posted in this thread, they look like dookie and probably work like dookie

i can see now, leds in the headlights and an unpainted carbon fiber hood

and Viet_AMG, i love your wheels with stretch tires and love how slammed your car is. please dont ruin it with cheap ebay led lights, get OEM-ish ones. And at least u can paint your hood later if you dont like the outcome, like ShangoAshe said.

in for pics of the finished result!

I would avoid the CF hood and the eBay headlights... both will probably be bad quality.

As far as the HID cutoff goes, I don't think BMW or Audi's would be any different since these headlights are all designed to comply with regulations.

hood is on the way.. you guys will drool when it unveil...

the headlight "depo" make good replacement..for w220..

bmw and audi use better projector lense, the cut off are alot sharper.. and i know the 45 degree cut off line is regulations so it doesn't blind oncoming traffic..but im looking into changing that ...cuz blinding oncoming traffic is what HID do..

As far as painting your secondary IC, did you use special radiator paint or did you just paint it with spray paint?

Well the reason I asked is because regular paint traps the heat in like a blanket and actually reduces the function of the radiator. If you use special radiator paint it is designed to allow the head to pass through.
