zimmermann rotors and akebono pads any one used this combo?

Just ordered for my 2001 S55. I am afraid the bite will be hard and the kid might jump off the booster seat.

Yea right..The akebonos are soft. I got the semi-metallic pagid ones for better braking.

I replaced them over the weekend, They are soft in the sense that after applying brake it takes a while to stop, but then there is a sudden bite and the wheel stops, giving a jerky feel.

Not sure if the Akebono's were the right choice...
