Coolant leak found. Has anyone had this fixed?
So after seeing coolant on the ground for a week I finally had the opportunity to diagnose it. I pressure tested my intercooler system and there was no drop in pressure. Then I tested the engine cooling system and saw a small drop in pressure. I knew it was coming from the drivers side so I took the airbox out and the turbo out let tube and found it! Appears to be a hard coolant line going into the top of the turbo.
I removed the bolts holding them and can get them out. I think I need to remove the coil pack to get clearance. I imagine there is an o-ring that needs to be replaced.
Anyone experience this?

I have the same issue. Dealer and my Indy say MB does not offer just the seal...and must replace the entire turbo....at $4200 per side (parts only, no labor) What a bunch of bull s@!t. I would be VERY interested in your repair results.

WOW wtf, they want you to replace the whole turbo when a seal goes out.... well replacing just a seal shouldn't be hard to do yourself

This just happened to me. It was the passenger side turbo hose that was leaking coolant. I had it diagnosed by the dealer who said that all i needed to replace were the same parts as richvegas. Total labour is estimated at about 3 hours. I asked the tech if coil packs were removed and he said no. It looks like it was relatively straight forward, at least on the sl600 (2005).

I actually went into the garage and thw mechanic showed me what he had done since the same thing happened on an s600 that he was working on at the time. They ended up doing both sides on mine so the total labour was 6 hours. The s class he was working on was a 2007. My sl600 is a 2005.
