Hi- ok sounds like a silly question, but from what I understand the S600 has no options except for colors and some Designo options. Is the S65 the same way for 2006? Am I safe to assume that any model year 2006 S65 will have the same options and I can shop by color/condition/carfax?

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

Distronic is one of the options other than that most of them are fully loaded.

Executive seating package is definitively an option, I think distronic may also have been an option.

Don't forget Bluetooth. Yup, my buddy's Altima has it stock...It was like a 2000 dollar+ option on the 06 S65. I know cause I tried to add it.

IDK if the US model had the options but the Euro Models have electric folding mirrors. Idk why we don't get them lol

I hate how distronic wasn't standard. It makes shopping for these things next to impossible. Every time I find one that I like, it doesn't have distronic. Conversely, every beat up 600/65 with a million and a half miles has distronic.

Distronic is horrible. I've had it on 2 out of 4 W220's. Never again.

^^^One man's trash is another man's treasure. I happen to love distronic, and I will not buy a new(er) MB unless it has it. Best feature ever IMO. Makes highway driving a breeze. Especially with the morons that live around here.

I've heard the same thing. Two friends of mine had W220s with Distronic and absolutely hated it.

The S65 US delivery base equipment included some of the options on Nick’s list. In the US Voice control and Satellite Radio were also options on the S65. When I bought mine the dealer added Bluetooth, Satellite radio and voice control for me. They gave me a very good package price at the time. I did not have them add Parktronic, the cost was way too high.
It the car has Bluetooth there will be about a 1” square electrical connector on the bottom of the console storage area. The “puck” clips onto this. If this connector is not installed it is a fair amount of work to install the factory style Bluetooth.
