LED Tail Light Facelift Advice
Okay, I finished the LED tail light swap tonight and I'm going to offer a couple of hints just for the archives.
For reference pictures of what I'm alluding to, check out this post: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post4817229. This is mostly for people who are looking for photos/diagrams of how to remove the trunk liner.
- I only removed the two black clips and *not* the Torx screw that's on the bottom of the side trunk liner piece. I'm thinking that would've made my life a lot easier, but I didn't have a Torx screwdriver handy, so my knuckles probably suffered a little. If that's the case, someone chime in to corroborate the fact that the panel will probably magicly and easily pull away from the side if I were to have taken that off.
- Press in as your putting the nuts back on the screws to give yourself a nice tight seal on the lights. If you're doing this by yourself, just press your body weight against it to get one or two more threads of tightening on it.
