Help with New Wheels
The wheels that came with my 2004 S55 when I bought it last year are suitable only for my winter tires. Looking for new staggered wheels, 8x18 and 9.5x18 is what I understand to be OEM. Tire Rack can't help me. Nothing flashy, exotic, expensive or high speed - I don't drive the car all that hard. Trying to keep the purchase under $1000. My winter and summer tire sets are brand new so not looking to change wheel size. Been looking at Advanti, Drive Concept (on eBay from Custom Wheel Source). They seem to have staggered with 40mm offsets. Welcome any advice on these or suitable alternatives.

Wheels are a personal choice. I think it also depends on the color of the car... I purchased a set of 17" Mandrus Rotec for my 86 S Class. They remind me of CLA AMG wheels. They are forged, but made over seas... And they accept foctory Mercedes center caps...
18x8.5 and 18x9.5

Below is a screen shot from your operators manual. It shows your factory wheel specs.
On 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 wheels, 32/35 should push your wheels out about 3/8" front and 9/16" rear, and if you're not lowered it should clear just fine. People have put more aggressive wheels on the W220....
Here is a link to some wheels with good pictures that mention the offset of 32/35 for 20x8.5 and 20x10
