Can anyone tell me how I can find out the dealer service history of my car?

When I went into my local dealership. I was told their not allowed to share that information.

They are technically correct, it is internal only but I've never had an issue when pushing a little harder - ask for the VMI

+1, although the VMI (Vehicle Master Inquiry) will only tell you warranty work, and for an early 2000's car that's not very helpful. Carfax may help depending upon what state the car came from (long story). But jenz is correct. What the dealer isn't allowed to show is the customer identifying information. If they want your business, they'll black all that out and get the CAR's info to you. Who wants old customer data anyway? They're just being lazy, which is not a dealership I prefer. If they're lazy there, where else are they lazy? Good luck.
