S55 AMG 2003 Engine not getting full power

I just purchased this car from the dealer. It's a beautiful car, 2003 S55 AMG, 5.4 Litter Super Charger.

The dealer said the car was in great working order, I explained I would still like to get the car checked out by a 3rd party mechanic.

The car was checked out today and the 3rd party Mechanic explained the car was not getting full power. He mentioned the super charger is working.

Code is: ME28AMG: motor electronics 2.8 (AMG)

2027 (2027) B17/8 (change air temperature sensor), temperature rise implausible, check coolant pump and additonal radiator. (P1999)

Part no. 113 153 39 79

I took the car back to the dealership and they are going to have their master mechanic look at it.

Can anyone give me further information on this?

This is a really clean car with 46k miles.

Is this an easy fix, a sensor or a big repair??

If anyone could please assist me with this.

Thank you

You almost certainly have air in the intercooler system or a failed circulation pump.

Pump is failed. Common cheap to fix problem.
