2012 S63 Rear Differential Bearing Failure
I was disappointed to learn yesterday that the diagnosis for a low rumble in the rear of my car is bearings beginning to fail inside the "bullet-proof" rear diff.
Really like my indie, highly recommended and comfortable with him; he road tested, colleague road tested, ran the vehicle on lift and listened with stethoscope. That said, here are my questions for you experts:
Can this be rebuilt? If so by whom...any recommendations?
Is there a used one out there that will fit? I see one on e ebay, but being from an '08 it is not a direct fit although it has the same ratio; 2.65. I assume due to the engine change in '11.
Any other suggestions to help me save a few thousand on this fix?
Thank you community!

Out Of Control!!
The differential has to come out whether you rebuild or replace with a junk yard unit and if you replace make damn sure that you put the correct unit back---these jobs you do once!!---check with the national scrapers like LQK they have loads of sources.
For rebuilds simply search theres gotta be someone on the WC that rebuilds!!
