Fuse and relay location for secondary air injection system
It's my car. Bought it in 2005. It's been a great car but now I'm getting this P0140 code and it's due for a smog and safety inspection. Appreciate any help you can give me. Been looking everywhere for the fuse charts. Can't read the ones on Google and not in Youtube. My charts disappeared out of the trunk when one of my wheels went bad and had to have the spare mounted. Sorry for delayed reply.

Secondary air pump failure. Code P0140
Want to thank everyone that helped.
1. Checked the fuse - Okay
2. Removed the relay
3. Put 12 volts on relay coil
4. Checked contacts with ohm meter
5. Saw contacts make and break
6. Replaced the relay
7. Everything started working
Cleared the codes and haven't had a malfunction or check engine in about three weeks.
Thanks again for your help.

I have a 2007 S550 (W221) and am getting P0410 error code. I want to check the relay & fuse but am having a hard time identifying them. I found [Relay A - Air Pump]. And the fuse I identified [F55 (60A) - Electric Air Pump]. Do I have the correct relay and fuse identified?
PS: I have attached the fuse chart in this post.
Thanks.

Hello, the Secondary Air pump has been giving me infinite problems. Everything was checked and in working order.
The check engine light would come on and off. The pump would turn on during cold start.
The pump would also cycle during some traffic lights. That's usually where the check engine light would come on.
After messing around with it, I just had it turned off at my indie with STAR. No problems. Plan to remove it and plug off the ports.

I believe turning off the secondary pump affects the O2 sensor functionality. I am due for a state inspection but the O2 sensor is not coming on because of the darn secondary pump problem. My mechanic told me that the ECU automatically turns off the O2 sensor if it sees issues with the secondary pump. Just my 2 cents.
The pump is just a troublesome thing on BMWs as well. All it does is pump fresh air to help the cats warm up quicker. Older cars didn't have it so any engine should perform good without it (adjust air/fuel).

Finally had my indy mechanic hook up the STAR diagnostic to the car. Turns out it was a bad relay. It was, in fact, Relay A. You can download my fuse chart above for the location of the relay. Replaced the relay with a brand new one (HELLA) from eBay for $8.50. Cleared the code and it has not returned since. The secondare pump comes on for a few seconds every morning and the check engine light has not returned!
Please note that the old part number was A002-542-1319. It has been replaced by the new part number A000-982-8023.
Thanks for all your help.
