Greetings all.......after looking for quite some time I finally found and purchased an 03 S55 in Alabaster white with ash interior. I intend to keep her stock but want to address the "usual" items as preemptive maintenance (fix before they become an issue). I will do the work myself since I am no stranger coming over from the BMW world and multiple models over the last 20 years. My most recent daily driver is a 2000 E38 M73 V12 which I have maintained myself and it has been utterly reliable. I also have a one of 5 built Dinan Stage III E31 850 TT (625Hp on 93 pump 660 ft lbs torque) which I have also maintained myself.
I have been reading the forums for weeks and learned a lot from you guys in regards to these stealth supercars. Jobs I intend to undertake and things to be checked are ABC fluid change/magnetic filter add, ABC sphere change, tranny fluid change/filter/connector plug o ring check, intercooler pump, ABC relay change?, SC oil change, valve cover gaskets, plugs, coils?, pulleys, belts, coolant change to Evans, brakes and a few other items. I may be on here asking for help during this extended care process and look forward to my new ownership. First order of business is a 1300 mile road trip to bring the car home, wish me luck.
P.S.
I remember seeing a new purchase "to do" list for the S55 someplace but cant find it now. It covered a lot of the items I mentioned......any idea where I saw it? Thanks in advance.

Congrats! Would love to see pics of the s55 and the 850! For abc I believe mercedes recommends flushes every 50k miles, I did it around 65k. I heard members recommend every 2 years regardless of miles.. I did this at the dealership in case anything went wrong. You will also find a lot more info regarding the motor and modifying in the w211 e55 section

Car is home!!! Just finished a 1500 mile trip.......a few minor issues but all good. Averaged around 22.8 mpg...not bad I thought. This thing is a monster, shocked a few people (including myself) on the highway...unbelievable. VERY happy with the car. She isnt perfect and needs a few cosmetic items and a good detail inside and out and my usual **** maint (fluids, belts, pulleys, filters, etc) to be where I want her. Now the fun begins....
