Hi guys,iam a mechanic but not a mercedes specialist.i purchased a 03 s55 That had slid off a road and it blew the door airbags and curtain but no others.I bought the car for next to nothing.I would like to fix it. One issue is the key will not turn the ignition.it's like it doesn't sense it but I think actually the key was removed after the accident with the car in gear. The key fob will not lock/unlock/or pop trunk.on the dash,the screen says "don't forget your key card". I know I'll probably be told that it's not worth fixing.I want to try. It only has 109k on the car and the body and interior are in great shape. Where's a good place to start with this issue. Thanks,George

is the shifter properly engaged in park? check the linkage
