I noticed recently that my soft close door function along with auto trunk closing and door locks had stopped working. Upon inspection I found my vacuum pump had some water in it and looked like 2-3 of the solenoid coils were burnt black. I checked the motor and it still worked though.....yay! Anyways, found a pump for parts on ebay and upon receiving found that only issue was a burnt out motor so I swapped my good motor into the "new" assembly and reinstalled. Now my doors soft close and locks work however the trunk auto close doesnt. I read someplace that some models (S500, S430, etc) didnt get the auto close trunk feature and as such the vacuum pump from one of these isnt programmed or "set up" to perform this function? Can the vacuum pump be programmed or have I a vacuum pump from a model without auto trunk close that will never work on mine? Any ideas?
