S55 Headers

Why are S55K headers a thing in the past? I know not many S class owners mod. I'm guessing clearance is the big issue. Anyone besides MBH make a set, or plan on making a set?

Kleeman...https://www.gmpperformance.com/index...tList&cid=5721

Between these prices and the fact that "not many S class owners mod" accounts for headers being such a scarce item, I think.

We can offer some good pricing on our S55 headers. Not to mention they make an insane amount of power. Something like 50 wheel horsepower over stock.

Nothing against your company, as i've heard that you make some of the best headers on the market. I just can't justify spending $2500+/- on headers at this point in time.

I bought Kleenmann mid header as MBH said they can't supply S55 headers in 2015.

Kleenmann headers build quality is low, I had rub btw steering wheel column and left side headers as my car is left hand drive so did some grinding to cure that. It's much better than stock but can't reach LT headers from MBH. I'll recommend you buy mbh if you have the chance.

So at my shop there was an S55 looking for headers. He already did heads/tb/pulleys/cams/intake/exhaust/cooling but the project was on hold for 4 months since the guy was looking for cheaper headers, bought a few that vendors said they would work and it didnt. Ended up with MBH and he wish he did it from the start.

I mean I dont think 2500 is too bad for headers but Im looking at it as a 65 owner where we only have tune, exhauast, intake for power after that its all one off and gonna easily cost 5k+ just to squeeze out any more power that we can which might not equal 50 hp. Just turbos and heads cost 2 grand in labor at least for v12 owners just to get to those spots in dropping the engine.
