Dension or Mobridge install in W220 S class?

Has anyone installed either the Dension Gateway 500 or Mobridge M2.Pro in their S class W220 with a CDC in the trunk? Just curious if all the wiring is done at the head unit, or if wiring needs to be routed from the HU/Bridge device to the CDC in the trunk?

Seems most videos of either product with regards to MB shows installation in an E-class with the changer located in the center stack, and not in the trunk.

If you have done either device install yourself before, grateful if you could please let me know how difficult it was. Thanks.

I installed a Denison in my W215, which is identical to an install in your W220. I put it in the trunk per instructions. Problem with that is it is too far away for a USB cord to work, so I could only play music through Bluetooth. That turned out to be a little sensitive about the position of mu phone in the car. Since then I have seen a thread where another person put his in the loop by installing it up front under the head unit and said it worked fine. If I were to do it again I would try that. I have since installed a complete aftermarket system, so no more issues with the connections, much better SQ and SLP, as well as a back up camera. Just a little less trunk space due to the amp and sub.

Thanks for the feedback Dr Matt. I plan on installing the box closer to the COMAND head unit.

Would like to know if you experienced any sort of battery drain with the Dension?

No drain that I noticed, but anytime my car is going to sit for more than 4-5 days (which is rare) I always throw on a battery tender.
