Garage pimping aint eazy!
I'm so soar it's not even funny!! Oh well it looks great!
Well I finally had a free weekend to install the Garage tiles. I purchased them from Costco about 7 months ago. Thanks to some tips from Eric Sandoval, it was a fairly easy install. My wife and I actually did it all in about 7 hours. She did most of the middle section while cut the edges and corners. The three car garage took 12 boxes and 3 boxes of the edges. Also took about 5-6 boxes of the Pergo undercoating. I decided to do the larger 4 square pieces, for a couple of reasons, one it looked better in the larger garage, and second, it was less work
So here are the before and after pics.
Pergo Padding and new tiles
Notice the wifey hard at work
Two sides done..
And shes all done...
The cars love their new floor, It seems to have added at least 10HP too
All tucked away for the night...

............congrats! This a great forum. I just did the same thing. I used black and red. At first I didn't buy enough tiles, so I had to do half the garage and then wait for the rest to arrive. The actual job wasn't bad except the leading edge has to be female and I learned the hard way while doing it. Cleaning it is a breeze. Just wipe and it is clean. You have nice cars too.

Is that a "vapor-barrier" underlayment that you put down underneath the tiles? Was that required or was that your decision ?

Outstanding job.
My wife's been bugging me to do this to our garage and now seeing your handiwork I might attempt it myself.
You said you received some tips to make it a bit easier, could you please share?
Also the Pergo underlaying, what exactly is that (did you also get at Costco).
Thanks

Tips would be.. Tools needed, plastic mallet, level (rubber one makes marks)
I used a jig saw, cause I didn't feel like buying a small table saw. The ends aren't perfectly straight but good enough for me. Home Depot sells one for $99 if you wanted to get one. Start at one end and work your way over. My wife laid most of the pergo and center tiles while did the cutting and worked on the corners. Also leave a 1/2 endge from all walls and corners, the tiles actually expand and contract with weather. Not much else to it,
two people 7 hours for a good size 3 car garage.

Your garage looks great Kevin! I refuse to work in my garage until summer is over. Although, you guys were lucky enough to have temperatures just under 100 degrees for the first time in a while this past weekend.

Great job Kevin...it's great that you and your wife share the enthusiasm to do things like this together....now I'm seeing a 3 ton widow unit in your future in that left side window. Sounds good doesn't it?
If you are electricaly/mechanicaly inclined (and I suspect you are) you could surface pipe a run (30 amp/220) from a new breaker on your Buss in your breaker panel. If it's in your garage (I don't see it in the photos) it would be easy. If it is else where you have a bit more of a challange.
With as much time you spend with your rides you deserve climate cotrol.
