oh you can believe i will! this is the front tire, 40,800 miles on them! the rears I changed around 25 or 30k and still have some tread but I might as well swap em all to keep them matched.
also the proxes 4 are all season which i will need pretty soon!

Bla bla
You need new tires NOW. These are almost bold, can you still drive them? Sure if you want to take chances on GREATLY reduced traction and stopping distance and you are VERY likely to get flats and get you stranded on the road. It's much cheaper to buy new tires and be SAFE!

Laugh all you want, but when the sidewall splits like that from the tread, you are risking a blowout. I had a blowout last weekend on the interstate in my truck @ 80mph....... I was waiting for my order from tirerack to arrive the upcoming week. I should have taken the beater truck to home depot that night because the heavy load in the bed is what did me in. Get them changed asap.

I think you'll be ok if you stitch the threads on the tire together. You should be able to get a few more miles out of them

yeah. i'd get an alignment done if you haven't had one recently after you get the new tires put on. IMO, the tire pressure suggestions from MB are utter crap and the sport sedans should run with slightly more pressure.

ya they probably were. i keep em around 29-32psi but i think they're supposed to be 38 or 40 something? i don't like the harsh ride when they're that high and i'm always nervous they're gonna explode like a balloon while i'm filling them

so i ordered my tires from this random place i found on google, edgeracing.com and this was on 8/24... they just shipped them yesterday! they claim that someone ordered the last ones in stock right before me which must have been bs cause the whole time their website said they were in stock and shipping within 24 hours. well now i'm not gonna get them till wednesday or thursday next week. those *******s! atleast they were dirt cheap.

I always run my tires at 38-40 PSI, so you have nothing to worry about. As for Edge Racing, the same thing happened to me about 6 months ago when I ordered some tires. Dirt cheap prices, but HELLA slow shipping.

well you've also got to take into consideration that lower psi = the car is lower to the ground. so you know, it's like a poor man's lowering kit

and why didn't u tell me about edge??? u suck

ah that was my second choice! first was the toyo's cause they're cheap and all season performance and snow is coming pretty soon, then the pirelli's then some more contisports but the price difference was huge so i went with toyos.

but there is something about pirelli that i just love... can't put my finger on it though
