New to the forum and my four week old clk is getting a fresh look
Don't want to bore you guys with to many pics but can't decide which ones to pick I will try to explain certain things I was doing to the car at different stages. I understand that there will probably be somebody that knows paint and the process but I wish not to hear negative comments on the process I took to get the car done everything worked out as planned and came out great. I'm 27 and been working in this feild for the past ten years and two days after getting the car started out with two or three panels need some paint work ended up with I'm going to paint the whole care well in joy.
well about 5 hours later the whole car is taking apart. sorry about the spots on the first couple of pics didn't realise the lens on my crappy camera was dirty

No mud was used just some glaze to fill little dings in the panels and the car was edge sanded before I fully sanded the vehicle sorry no pics of that step then primed the spots that needed it

The top surfaces was painted first with basecoat clearcoat then I sanded the panels down and recleared them thats why the paper you see in the pictuers don't have any paint on them it was retaped before the reclear so dirt doesn't come off the old paper. the top surfaces was then taped off so the sides can be shot the car came out the booth for this to happen I don't have any pictures of that step the ones you see is after it was painted and paper taking off of top surfaces so it wouldn't leave print on the freshley painted top surfaces

All surfaces but roof was now slick sanded with 2500 grid then went over with 3000 to get the small specks of dirt and orange peel out. I also decided to tint my mirrors and rear tails to match my new smoked bumper lights. the tails came out a little darker then I wanted but the light shines through great and looks good on the black car

Good stuff, come get my car
I need a refresh, mine's on original paint and the touched up rock chips on the front aren't cutting it anymore.
I wish I had a booth, I'd do this myself.
Car is looking good!

The car is now all done hasn't been cleaned up yet had to go back to the dealer to get a few things worked on then it will be getting cleaned up and tinted. I left the big no no at the dealer not to wash the car so they wrote it on the windshield hope they listen. So the car has only been at home for one week between being at my job and now the dealer for the second time but once I get it back I will be enjoying the ride. Thanks for looking and my latest project

yeah like I said they came out darker than I want thats what trigger happy will get you. its a way for me to lighting them up I wanted to get the car together and to the dealer so I can get it back. I will tint it first and do some more mods and if they don't 100% grow on me then I'll try to fix them to more of a smoked look. Thanks again for everybodys comments. These pictures make me realise I need a newer camera

I want to get some more exterior mods done like wheels and a drop first. The vehicle came with the factory nav which I might replace with a aftermarket system mainly so I can use my ipod I tried out the aux jack its o.k. but the sound isn't what I want and the fact that I can't charge or control it sucks. The previous owner had a sat. radio in there which I will be taking out. I'm starting my detailing business and about to order my hot water extracter so it will get a very thorough cleaning once I get it back from the dealer.
